Welcome to Kanasta Caravan Park on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula. We have put all the important information here to help you make the most of your stay.

Office Hours:
9:00am to 10:30 and 2:00pm to 5:00pm seven days a week. If requiring assistance outside of office hours, please call 7064 5571.

Check Out:
Check out is at 10am on your day of departure (11am for holiday houses). 
Please leave your keys in the key box on the right hand side of the gate. We also now have a box near the office for your connivence

There are amazing food and wine offerings, walking trails taking in the coastal scenery, some of Australia’s best golf courses, beaches to explore, aquatic tours, adventures and attractionshot springs, day spas and wellbeing retreats and more.

 PARK RULES:

 The full set of park rules are included in our Terms and Conditions. Here are the rules for the most common enquiries:

SMOKING:
Please observe all NO SMOKING notices. No Smoking in cabins, park buildings or communal areas. Failure to observe the No Smoking rule/notices will result in you incurring a cleaning fee of $250.00. Smokers are permitted to smoke on cabin veranda and designated smoking areas around the park.

NOISE/BEHAVIOUR:
PARK QUIET TIME IS 10:00pm to 7:00am daily, excessive noise is not permitted during these hours. Abusive language  (including swearing), physical intimidation or assault will not be tolerated at any time and will result in your removal from the park.

VEHICLES: Speed Limit is 10kph for all vehicles, including pushbikes, and must be
adhered to at all times.

No unregistered vehicles or trailers are permitted in the park.

No vehicles are to be driven by unlicensed drivers.

Vehicles, boats and trailers must be parked in the designated areas and must not be parked on the roadways of the park.

BIKES, SCOOTERS, SKATEBOARDS ETC: Bicycles and scooters may be ridden within the park during daylight hours only. They are to be ridden in a manner that does not endanger or is not likely to endanger, themselves, other property or any other persons. Helmets must be worn at all times. Park management reserve the right to confiscate any bike or scooter that is being used in a prohibited area, or they deem is being used in a manner considered dangerous or a nuisance. The use of skateboards, rollerblades or roller skates is NOT PERMITTED in the park for safety reasons.

VISITORS: Visitors must register at the office prior to entry into the park. Visitors are to park their vehicles outside the park. No visitors are permitted to use any of the park’s facilities or to stay overnight unless they have registered as guests and paid the appropriate charges (visitor’s fees) at the office. Guests are responsible for the conduct of their visitors and must ensure that they are aware of, and abide by, the park rules. A group of visitors consisting of 6 or more people is classed as a ‘group event’. ‘Group events’ must have prior permission from management.

PETS: Pets are only permitted in the park with the prior approval of management. Pet charge is 20 dollars per night.  Pet owners must ensure they are aware of, and abide by, the park pet policy. You will be asked to remove your pet from the park if your pet becomes aggressive or causes a nuisance (constant barking is one) to other people or pets, or for any breech of the park pet policy. Pets are not permitted within the amenities, camp kitchen, BBQ areas or laundries 

EMERGENCY ASSEMBLY POINT AND EMERGENCY EXITS: The emergency assembly area and exits are displayed on the site noticeboard, in each park building, all cabins and shown on the park map. In case of an emergency an alarm will sound.

Please make your way immediately to the assembly area and follow instruction from the park wardens.

CABINS: Upon entry into the cabin please observe and advise us immediately of any breakages or items out of order. Please leave the kitchen as you found it. Wash, dry and return all dishes to their allocated areas. All breakages and damages must be reported to Management prior to your departure. Management reserves the right to charge your credit card for any outstanding charges that apply to your booking. This includes extra cleaning, excess rubbish removal, additional unpaid guests, extended stays, late checkouts, property theft, any repairs or damage to park property. Australian standards state that in the interest of safety, children under the age of 9 years of age should not sleep on top bunks and children should not play on bunk beds.

SITES: Upon entry observe and advise us of any damage to the utility services. Upon exit turn off the water tap, electricity connection and replace the grate over the grey water point. Greywater disposal points are for the disposal of greywater ONLY. For sites with no grey water disposal, greywater is to be collected and disposed of at the designated dump point. All Blackwater is to be disposed of at the designated dump point. Place all service connections to your van, vehicle or tent so as not to cause a nuisance to neighbouring sites and management in maintaining the surrounding site area. Park your vehicles, caravan and/or trailer within the site boundaries, as per the parking guide.

SPAS: The spa is only available for use by guests staying at the holiday homes.

Children under 14 years of age must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.  No one is to permit any child or person who cannot swim to enter the spa enclosure unless they are supervised at all times by a responsible adult. Spa users must not do anything that would endanger any other person and must abide by the ‘pool rules’ displayed within the pool area. Current pool opening times are displayed on the pool rules sign. Children who are not yet toilet trained must wear swimming nappies whilst in the spa.

AMENITY AND LAUNDRY AREAS: The amenities and laundries are for registered guests and residents only. The washing of pets or pet bedding is strictly prohibited.

Bathing of infants or young children in the laundry tubs, or washing of clothes in hand basins or showers is not permitted. We ask that children under the age of 8 years be supervised by a responsible adult while using the amenity or laundry facilities. Please be considerate of the next user and always leave the facilities in a clean and tidy condition after use. Clothes should be removed from machines/lines as soon as practical.

BBQ AREA: The use of the park’s barbeque are permitted between the hours of 7:00am and 9.30pm daily. Please leave the area in a clean and tidy condition. Children under the age of 16 years must be under the supervision of a responsible adult.

GAMES ROOM: Those using these areas must abide by the rules displayed and be considerate of other users at all times.

CAMPFIRES, BBQS, GENERATORS (MOTORISED BY FUEL): Only contained gas BBQ’s and other contained gas cooking equipment may be used in the park for cooking.

No other means of cooking or heating is permissible. Generators are not to be used in the park unless express permission has first been granted by management.

GARBAGE: Place all garbage in the bins provided. We take recycling very seriously and this is why we pay a company to do it for us rather than the council. Please see https://www.vinsbins.com/recycling/ for more information.

PERMANENT RESIDENTS AND ANNUAL GUESTS: There are no permanent residents at Kanasta Caravan Park. The older style vintage vans are referred to as Annual Vans. Our annual family has been a part of the park for years. We ask that during your stay you respect our annual guests, their property and their right to the quiet enjoyment of their van being their home away from home.

Since Covid, we have removed the compendiums from the rooms.   The below information does repeat itself from above however guests really liked the compendiums and you may find information below that is not listed on this website. 

AIR CONDITIONING

When changing buttons please wait 2-5 minutes before any further adjustments are made. It could take a few minutes for the air conditioning unit to function correctly.

BBQ AREA

Guests are welcome to use the main BBQ area. The main BBQ area is located near reception. Guests also have their own private electric BBQ located outside the cabins, along with outdoor furniture. All BBQs are expected to be cleaned immediately after use.

BLANKETS/PILLOWS/TOWELS

A spare blanket and 2 pillows are located inside the main wardrobe. If you require any additional blankets or pillows, please contact Reception.

BROKEN OR DAMAGED EQUIPMENT

 

If you encounter any faulty equipment during your stay we would appreciate you advising Reception. This would allow us to rectify the problem promptly thereby avoiding disappointing other guests. If for some reason you are dissatisfied about equipment or services, please contact reception immediately. This feedback allows us to constantly improve our services.

CAR PARK ALLOCATION

One car parking space has been allocated per accommodation. Extra vehicles will be required to park outside the park. There are plenty of car spaces on Sinclair Ave. Please contact reception if you wish to park a small boat or trailer. We do not have the space for Motor homes and they can easily get stuck driving through our very small park.

CLEANING

Please leave kitchen clean and tidy with all dishes washed dried and put away. There is an outdoor, electric BBQ located outside your cabin. Please ensure that this is clean after use. It is best to clean it immediately after use. If you are unsure how to clean it, please see reception. Excess cleaning will incur a minimum of $50.00.

Please report ALL emergencies to Reception.

FIRST AID

A full first aid kit is available at the Reception desk.

GAMES ROOM

The games room is open from 8am – 10pm daily. Please see reception for any change required. No glass or alcoholic beverages are permitted in this area. Children must be supervised at all times.

GUESTS VISITORS

Visitors invited to the premises are asked to leave their vehicles outside the grounds. We also respectfully ask that all visitors leave quietly without disturbing other guests by 10pm. We have a strict no party policy.

HAIRDRYERS

Due to safety reasons, Hairdryers are located at reception.

INTERNET

Wifi is available for cabins, caravans and houses.

IRONING

Irons and Ironing Boards are available and located in the wardrobe.

KEYS

You will receive one key upon check in. Please place in the key departure box upon check out or leave at reception. Lost keys will incur a $150 replacement charge.

LAUNDRY

There are coin operated washing machines and a dryer. Please refer to the park Map for the location. If you need change, please see reception. We also sell washing powder for 1 dollar per sachet.

LINEN/TOWELS

All linen and towels are supplied.

LUGGAGE STORAGE

Upon request we can store your luggage for early or late arrivals.

OFFICE HOURS

The Reception desk is open from 9:00am 10:30 and 2:00pm to 5:00pm seven days a week.

PINGPONG BATS

Available at reception or in the games room. Please return after use.

PLAYGROUND

The playground in the Caravan Park is for the enjoyment of children 12 years and under. Please be conscious of safety within the playground area. Children must be supervised at all times.

RUBBISH

Please place all rubbish in the bins provided upon departure.

SECURITY GATE

To operate the security gate, please point your remote control at the gate and press one of the buttons. Please wait for the gate to open. The gate will automatically close after you. You may need to slide down your remote control device to locate the button.

SCOOTERS/BIKE RIDING

All riders are asked to observe the speed limits and road rules around the park. Helmets must be worn at all times.

SERVICING

Cabins are not serviced daily.  Please call or email us if you would like it serviced.

SMOKING

All cabins, caravans and houses are NON SMOKING. Please feel free to smoke outside. Ashtrays are in place around the park.

SPEED LIMIT

Speed Limit within the park is WALKING PACE. The roadways within the park are shared with children/bikes/scooters. This ensures the safety of all.

TEA AND COFFEE MAKING FACILITIES

Tea and Coffee making facilities are provided free of charge in each room with the compliments of management.

VACATING ROOMS

We respectfully request that your room be vacated by 10.00am on the day of departure. Our cleaners are waiting to clean the room for the next guest arriving. Beyond that time you are welcome to leave your luggage in the Reception area if required. Late check out will incur a $50 fine.
